Statement of Faith:
1. The Bible is inerrant and authoritative.
2. God exists as a Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
3. Salvation is a free gift purchased by the atoning work of Christ and available to all who believe.
4. The world is a battleground between two kingdoms: the kingdom of Christ and the kingdom of darkness.
5. All who are "in Christ" have a new identity. They are pardoned and adopted into God's family, so that they are now citizens of the kingdom of heaven and saints who have been made new by the power of God.
6. Christians are seated with Christ in the heavenly realms and have authority in the name of Jesus over principalities and powers associated with the kingdom of darkness.
7. Christians can give legal ground to the devil that allows him the legal right to a place in their lives that produces spiritual bondage.
8. This legal ground can be reclaimed through repentance, forgiveness, faith in the truth and the application of authority.
9. The goal of discipleship and biblical counseling is to encourage Christians to glorify the Father by abiding in Christ and walking in step with the Spirit.
10. I am affiliated with and accountable to an evangelical church or ministry.
11. I avoid the following practices
- New Age medicine -- medical practices with no foundation in science that depend on spiritual energy for their success.
- New Age visualization -- leading people to visualize their own healing by telling them exactly what to picture in their minds, such as "picture Jesus doing this" or "envision yourself doing that."
- New Age spirit guides -- leading people to invite spirit beings to bring them healing, guidance, power, or companionship
